First post in this forum! I'm doing a spring over/reverse shackle/high steer on my 1967 Scout 800. The Scout already has Scout II Dana 44 axles, and was originally set up 8 years ago with SOA rear and SUA front. I used 4" CJ springs up front and built lots of lift into the reverse shackle in order to match the rear lift. I'm now redoing the front in order to increase caster, get better flex, and gain high steer. I used 2.5" BDS early CJ springs which are pretty much flat in this application. I got Parts Mike 8 stud Scout knuckles along with the DM4009 arms and 1 inch spacers. The only unforeseen problem was that the Scout caliper banjo bolts hit the knuckles/spacers and prevented the calipers from going into position. A little grinding on the knuckles & spacers corrected this and the calipers bolted up OK. Pics at

Looks like you did all right. If you can't get a good caster reading you will need to cut and rotate your "C's".

Yep, I did a cut & turn. I pointed the pinion right at the transfer case before welding the spring perches in place, then turned the yokes to get 4° positive caster. This is a manual steering setup, so I figure this is plenty of caster.
