You've selected the hardware to save your life!

You made the right choice getting the special bolts, and will soon be saving a half hour of your LIFE every time you remove OR install the driveline.  The small 12 point head gives you enough space between the yoke and the bolt to fit a 1/4" ratchet or ratcheting wrench.  If you use bolts from the hardware store, they'll have a 1/2" wrench head on them, and you'll be removing 24 threads per inch a quarter turn at at time!

1350, 32 spline, CV yoke.  Most commonly used in rear on JK, JL, and JT t-cases, and also will fit a TJ Rubicon t-case.

Hardware

  • Diameter and pitch:  5-16"-24 x 1-1/4"
  • Wrench size:  5/16" 12 point

Why the yoke is great:

  • FORGED will beat the same part made from billet, or cast...period.  The forging process forms the metal grain along the contours, and results is a stronger part.  Forging also compacts the grain structure which nearly eliminates failures from voids or inclusions.
  • FULL LOCK UP is what we call our u-joint cap retention method (see pictures for FULL LOCK UP vs little tang).  Almost all yokes have a little tang to retain the u-joint cap.  Catch that tang on a stubborn rock, and it breaks off.  Then the cap shoots out, and BAM.  FULL LOCK UP eliminates this problem by fully retaining the u-joint cap.
