You've selected the NP205 kit with seals and U-bolts

1410, 32 spline, U-bolt yoke.  This yoke is typically retrofitted onto NP 205 transfer cases.  It uses U-bolts to fasten the u-joints instead of straps.

WARNING:  Count the splines on your transfer case, AND but be SURE to verify the seal OD on the NP205!  The seal size is listed below in the Specifications.

The Parts Mike yoke is FORGED, U-bolt style, features FULL LOCK UP, and has an OE spline fitment.  Our design achieves the highest possible angle while maintaining strength.  See the write up below for more details.

  • FORGED parts will beat the same part made from billet, or cast...period.  The forging process forms the metal grain along the contours, and the result is a stronger part.  Forging also compacts the grain structure which nearly eliminates failures from voids or inclusions.
  • U-bolt style is superior to straps in nearly every way.  The U-bolt is nearly impossible to shear, but the head of a 5/16" bolt in a strap can pop like a pimple.  There's nothing to peel back on a U-bolt, but the strap can get caught.  Plus the U-bolt is simple to identify, a 1410 u-joint takes a 1410 U-bolt.  Straps have all sorts of different length, width, and thread pitch differences for the same size u-joint depending on application.
  • FULL LOCK UP is what we call our u-joint cap retention method (see pictures for FULL LOCK UP vs little tang).  Almost all yokes have a little tang to retain the u-joint cap.  Catch that tang on a stubborn rock, and it breaks off.  Then the cap shoots out, and BAM.  FULL LOCK UP eliminates this problem by fully retaining the u-joint cap.
  • OE spline fitment is what every yoke should have.  Most yokes slide on, and aside from a gross error, work just fine....BUT an OE spline fitment requires encouragement from a 3 pound dead blow.  It would take hundreds of thousands of miles to wear out splines, but we make them so they'll NEVER wear out.
