This universal spring perch is designed to reduce spring wrap and incorporates three holes to allow the axle to be shifted one inch forward or backward from center when using a matching spring plate with 3 holes.  The axle cutout is 3-1/8 inches, but can be ground out to fit a larger diameter axle.  If you're axle tube is smaller, there will be a small gap to fill at the corners.  Since the perch and the tube are both round holes, even if the tube is smaller, 90% of the perch will still contact or be very close.  For example, the gap on a 2-3/4" axle tube would only be 1/8", and that's the maximum gap at the end of the perch.  The other 90% of the perch would be touching the tube.
