This is the tool that every four wheel drive fabricator has. It is used to taper holes to accept the larger Chevy tie rod ends (ES 2234R and ES 2233L), or the double pivot drag link ends (ES 2026R and ES 2027L). It has a taper of 1-1/2" every 12" (rise over run), and commonly referred to as a seven degree tapered reamer.
USAGE: Be sure to use lots of cutting fluid and clean the flutes often. Check the depth of the hole often (e.g. insert the desired part into the hole, put on the castle nut, and see if the cotter pin clears). You can remove more material, but putting it back is nearly impossible!
